Ireland scans?

Just wondering does anyone else in Ireland feel that there is a big gap between scans. This is my first baby had a scan at 11 weeks and have to wait till in 27 weeks ? Can you get one in between? It be great help if anyone could help x

That does seem an awful long time to go without seeing your baby even to find out the gender. i had a scan at 13 weeks and i have my next one next week at 20 weeks 1 day. Maybe phone your midwife and ask her why there is such a gap inbetween. Im not sure how it works in Ireland? You can buy scans though in essex there around £95. xx

I know exactly how u feel... I got my first scan in october then december i didnt get one this month just a check up and i dont know if ill get one at my next appointment... Irelands system is just messed up totally... Are you a ftm??

Its so stupid the gap the didn even tell me who my midwife was I just have doctor appointments every for weeks but he doesnt even let me hear heart beat :-( if they dont needs another scan ill prob say its 170 in Ireland.  lilbump13. Yep im a first time mum x

I didnt even see any midwife and i have 50 or so days left till my due date.. I only heard my lil ones heart beat because they thought i was in prem labour.. The health system here is so different to other places.. I find there useless here.. How far along are you gone??x
