Weird Period? Is this normal?

Good Morning Ladies,

I am having the ODDEST period of my life this month. I miscarried on 26 Mar 2010 and got my first period on 5 May. I used OPK’s to help detect my ovulation day and got a positive on 23 May. I had intercourse on the 23rd and 24th, but unfortunately I started my period again on 5 Jun, but this period is not like my previous periods. My periods range on average 5-6 days. The first 4 days without fail are always between heavy/medium. The 5th and 6th day are usually light and ending my AF, but since I started this month the 1st and 2nd day seemed normal to me because they were medium in flow. Yesterday (CD 3) was very light and I didn’t even have to change my pad but once (and that was only because I worked out and showered). Today it is still light and seems to be going away all together. All in all what I am trying to get at, is this normal??? And just for information purposes, can you have a period and be pregnant? I have read online that it is possible, but then I see the total opposite. I just need answers to figure out what is going on with my cycle….Please HELP!!!

I got my + by BDing every day or every other, until I got the + ovulation test.
As for the weird period, I m/c last July, and didn't get pregnant again until this February. My periods were always really heavy before I m/c, but had been light (just like yours) ever since.
I personally know of three women who have had bleeding throughout their periods though, one didn't know she was pregnant until 4 months along, the other didn't know until she was 6 months along.

Your body could still be regulating itself after the miscarriage. Even though your first period after the miscarriage may have been normal it doesn't mean the next few will be.

However, there is still a small chance you could be pregnant because the "real" bleeding was only for 2 days.

Also, it is best to have sex at least a day before ovulation instead of the day of ovulation because it gives the sperm a better chance to reach the egg...so you might have had sex too late. The OPK's are good to use every month do determine how regular you are so that on the next cycle you will now in advance what days to have sex.
