Is having an epidural hurt?

Okay, im terryified of having this baby. More nervous then scared. Im 36wks and already dialated at 1cm. I want some advice on the whole epidural experience?

it doesnt hurt u just feel lots and lots of pressure. But you'll feel better after everything is over..

I have had two and never had any problems.
Your in so much pain from contractions already that the epidural goes pretty painless. Its maybe like any other needle pinch.
I swear right after i was pushing that pain button they give you like a crack head lmao even tho it only releases every 10 minutes!
I still felt pain but the edge was severely taken off!

hey haley, i hear you i am not 35 weeks with my 4 pregnancy and i have had one epidural with my first. i can tell you it is very uncomfortable to have but it definately is worth it i have had one child completely natural and it is very painful nothing compared to the little bit of pain from getting epidural. just listen to the doc that gives it to you and dont be scared to say something if you are having a contraction while he is doing it most will stop.
