well everyone, thanks for getting back to me.
today, my boyfriend got me some ginger biscuits, thought i would give them a try. and i have eaten 4 and feel ok! so they are going with me everywhere now. Sunworshipper - when you said you questioned your ability, this is how i feel. will i beable to look after my baby?! but i think its the fact that i feel vile and sicky at the moment, that i have lost interest in things. im sure i will be a great mum to my little precious! (first time i have ever said that) i just need this sickness to go and im sure ill be ok.
thanks for your comments, much appreciated. You lot will keep me going! x
I also had horrible all day all night morning sickness. I tried for 34 months to get pregnant and after 3 months straight of morning sickness I was questioning my ability to do this and then I still puked for one more month. I think that it's fear of the unknown the uncertainty that leads us to feel that way. But even if you doubt yourself remember that some higher power out there thought that you were ready for this journey. Have faith, trust in yourself. There are crack addicts, ******, even 12 and 13 year olds who have children. If they can do it, we can do it. I am 34 weeks along now and I don't question my ability anymore. I think it was the hunger talking.
Eat ANYTHING that sounds good. I ate, 2 crackers here, a piece of bread there and lots of French fries those were the only things that stayed down. I also drank Ensure to help w nutrients and I also watered down ice cold gatoraide and drank that to stay hydrated.
I took the prescription anti nausea med it worked ok but not great still puked sometimes and for sure felt sick. Even brushing my teeth was a traumatic experience. You can try Ginger tea or chews or pills (250mg 3xdaily) vitamin B6 (50mg) small frequent meals and eat anything that tastes good. Your cravings will rarely steer you wrong. Even if you just want donuts eat donuts.
Feel better!!
This can be a part of pregnancy- the morning sickness is experienced by many people some worse than others. I have had hospitilisations and still experience Morning sickness at 25 weeks +
Not that it worked for me but I have heard apart from medication ginger can help for some people or having dry crackers
Hi,
I felt the same way for the first trimester once I hit 4 months the vomitting went away and I could eat again, I remember I couldn't even put my toothbrush in my mouth without gagging and throwing up, morning sickness is very common and very normal to have during your pregnancy, if you go to your doctor there is a pil he can prescrbe to help with this, they worked really well for me and since 16 weeks I haven't needed them and felt great, I am now almost 38 weeks along, hang in there its a long journey but its worth every discomfort once you see and feel the life inside you :)
It is normal. I was diagnosed with Hypermeisis and was sick and vomiting until I delivered. It was really hard to even consider thinking about food without wanting to be sick. I promise that it DOES get better and you can do it. For most women morning sickness will ease up around 9-12 weeks.
