Itchy stitches

Just wanted to share n get some feedback. It's been alittle over a week since my son was born and every now n again my stitches itch and I refrain from scratching lol not fun. Did you ladies get the same feeling sometimes? If so are there tricks to ease the itching?

It is a plastic tub that fits in your toilet, you just put warm water in it and sit there.  They gave me one to take home at the hospital...

Ill look into all those. Hopefully one works. I feel weird always squirming when they get itchy because I don't want to scratch n move them. Lol mines were sensitive at first not anymore. This might be a dumb question but what are sitz? My doctor told me to use the foam with that bath but I only know of regular baths or bubble baths. Lol

The spray is called Dermaplast.  They didn't give me any at the hospital and I couldn't find it at the drugstore either bit other hospitals give it to you.  Also my doc prescribed Lidocaine Jelly which is a topical that helps ease discomfort with stitches.  Try that and do you r sitz baths...mine never itched but were extremely painful and sensitive.  Hope this helps :)

I actually had a cesarean and didn't get stitches, I got sturdy strips, none itchy, heals quicker.. But with stitches keep them clean to avoid chafing
