Just curious... supposed to wait I know.

I had my period Jan 4. I usually have a shorter cycle than most (around 26 days). I ovulated between the 14 or 15 and the 16. I was intimate with out withdraw on the 16th and 18th. On the twentieth I had one bit of clearish discharge when I wiped in the bathroom with a streak of dark blood in it (implantation?). I had mild cramping the twentieth- current. As of the past 5 days I have been nauseous, have heartburn, broke severely in odd places (back, shoulders, neck), have mild cramping, mood swings, flushed face, etc. I went to Dr. and had a test today... neg. of course. They do not have early detection tests and said even if I was pregnant they wouldn't know. Does it sound like I may have had implantation bleeding? Do early detection tests work for most people? Do I sound pregnant? It is silly. I feel like I am.

Hi!
I usually feel that the old fashioned way of testing (waiting until the period is missed) is best.  Early detection tests can be hard on the pocket book and confirmatory tests are often needed anyway.  If you were my patient, I would tell you to wait until your period is late and retest.  If the period comes on time it saves you money!
Good luck!

I had never heard of implantation bleeding until recently. Does my description even resemble such?
