Just wondering, kind of worried.

Im 21 weeks today and i've heard that some babies get wrapped up in the umbilical cord and strangling themselves. Now I know im only halfway through my pregnancy but my baby moves around alot, and I mean alot, like he/she is dancing, there are kicks almost constantly. I love the movement, but when it stops I worry, I know the babys have to sleep and all but it scares me. What are the chances of my little butterbean getting tangled in his/her umbilical cord and strangling him/herself?
-just a little paranoid!

Babies tangle and untangle themselves in the cord quite a bit, usually if it gets tight they'll "shy" away from it, and not pull on it, most of the time it'll untangle itself, nothing to worry about! :)

lol this is me, too. My baby moves around like CRAZY. she never stops. I love feeling her, but just like you, i get worried, this morning when i woke up, she was still sleeping, i tried to wake her up, but she wasn't having it, so i went into the living room and listened to her with my baby doppler to put my mind at ease. However, the umbelical cord isn't usually long enough to strangle the baby. Those are kind of like freak accidents. Especially at this stage. If this is your first baby, then the cord is even shorter than subsequent babies.
Most women don't feel baby consistently like us at this stage anyways, so we're just lucky lol.
I'm 21 weeks tomorrow
