Lactose intolerant & indigestion?

My husband is lactose intolerant but I'm not, I LOVE milk. I like to drink a glass before bed most evenings. Well I'm 27 weeks & have had the worst indigestion the past couple nights & even just a touch of diarrhea. It's been bad enough that I have to take some Gasx & walk around the house (at 3 or 4am) to burp, pass gas, or visit the toilet to relieve the discomfort.

So my question is this: is it possible that my little growing girl is already giving me signs that she might be lactose intolerant? I know it's a possibility because my husband is an American Indian & they are genetically predisposed to be lactose intolerant. Also, I plan to breastfeed, wonder if me drinking milk at that time will affect her tummy?

I agree with the previous post....it sounds like normal pregnancy symptoms...and it will get worse more than likely. One recommendation that some professionals are suggesting is to not avoid things for fear of allergies or else they're more likely to get them. I try to take this type of info with a grain of salt. Just.like after baby.is born, I breastfeed and don't avoid peanut butter and my daughter isn't allergic to peanuts.

What you are describing are typical pregnancy symptoms and probably have little to do with your little one being lactose intolerant.

However, once you give birth you should find out if she is lactose intolerant because if you want to breastfeed, you will have to cut dairy out of your diet.

My daughter was allergic to milk.  She had to be formula feed until I could get ALL dairy out of my diet.  She did grow out of the allergy.
