Little to no aminiotic fluid

I'm 21 weeks pregnant right now and so far with this pregnancy, I've gone through a lot.  I went through months of Hyperemesis and after that subsided the doctors found at my 18 week u/s that I had what is called amniotic band syndrom which is where the inner sac layer is tore and pieces of tissue could wrap around parts of the babies body, in which ones were wrapped around the foot and umbilical chord.  I had to go to Cincinnati to get surgery to remove these from the baby.  The surgery went well, but on Monday I went for my check up and they realized the baby has barely any amniotic fluid.  They said they think it was due to surgery and all the doctor said was to cross my fingers and hope is rebuilds itself.  Well today I went to the ER because I was vrey sick and was throwing up all morning and they checked the baby and found out that the fluid is still gone and none of it seems to be rebuilding.  Does this mean that it CANT rebuild?  I go back for a u/s on Tuesday to see how things are going.  I'm so worried and I don't know what to do and me and family are so scared.

What you can do is try to drink more fluids. some ppl say it works some say it doesnt. It IS possible to still have your baby live with little to no fluid. However, I know your aware that your baby will probably be pretty sick for the first months of his/her life. I know how you feel. My son TJ was born at 34w due to no fluid or Oligohysdramnios.
I also had HG but they never formally diagnosed me. I had morning sickness for 25 weeks!

You need to keep yourself on BEDREST completely, and drink as much water as possible. ALSO ask them about a Fluid infusion. It's risky but can help. They can also begin to give you steroids to build the baby's lungs.

Make sure you've got a plan to get to the best hospital in your area. my son was born at LomaLinda hospital here in Socal. it's one of the best on the west coast and has an awesome Ped's cardiac unit.
I'm really sorry your going thru something so tough. if you wanna talk just message me.
I've been thru alot with my son. He has down syndrome and a rare skin problem EHK (I have it too) and had 3 holes in his heart. Pulminary hypertension, MASSIVE infections that nearly killed him a couple times, and hypothyroidism....
DH and I are 22 and if we can get thru something so tough, so can you. :) My prayers are with you.

They told me they wouldn't hospitalize me until I'm 24 weeks, because they said there's nothing they can do at this point in time

Did they send you home? If so you do not need to be home. I don't know if you are famililar with my posts but I am now 28 weeks and my water broke when I was 27 weeks.I have been in the hospital since it happened and will remain here in the antepartum wing until I deliver. I have no water and whatever my baby makes just leaks out.I have been given antibiotics to stop any infection. I can give you more info on my situation if you want, but I think you need to be in the hopsital being monitored.
