Also what I was told in ny childbirth class is to put on a pad. if it becomes soaked within the hour its most likely your water and also it necessarily shouldn't have a smell to it. They can test the pad when you get to the hospital as well.
Just a thought. :)

take your wet underwear with you in a ziplock baggie jut incase babies head has dropped down and is in the way like the jorlyn said happened to her. then mabey they can swab your underwear if they cant get anything directly from you :) just an idea

Contrary to the movies your water doesn't usually break in this big gush.. my trickled like a leaky faucet. It's very possible! Mine ruptured at 38 weeks. You are in that home stretch so it could very well be your water. They have swabs at the hospital now.. if it turns blue, its amniotic fluid, if not then something else. Wouldn't hurt to just go get swabbed! Not that i trust those 100%. By the time they swabbed me her head had dropped down & was blocking the rest of the water so they sent me home & told me i peed on myself. When it really was my water!  Good luck!

I think it's best you go see your doctor in the morning or the e.r tonight I mean at 37 weeks you could possibly be going into labor. Not to scare anyone but my mother's first child passed after she thought her water broke during a shower but didn't get checked out till the next day, that was in the 80's.  .. Wish you luck.

If its suspected at all you need to be seen - they can test the discharge to see if its actually fluid or not.
