Medi cal Coverage ? California

What exactly does it cover ? I'm curious because I know it covers my birth and visits to the drs . But I wanna know if I can also see the dentist and optomitrist ?

The medical has changed aloud sense Obama care came out you have to call worker

Yeah I got it when I filled it at the clinic for my pregnancy but I told her I wanted everything since I qualified . It took me about two months to get approved and barely got it in the mail yesterday. Okay thank you I will check up thanks girls ! :)

I would definately call and find out what you have and what it covers because ive never heard of them going to dr offices. To me that sounds like something totally different but i could be wrong.  Almost sounds too easy because it usually takes 30 days to approve or deny someone unless its pregnant related only. Sorry i couldnt be much help but ive always had to physically go in the county building and apply. And always remember that just because you have a card doesnt make it active. Good luck though. Hopefully you are able to get that cavity filled soon.

Well I had applied at my drs office becus there was a social worker there andi told her I wanted all the benefits. I got a white card for my medical do idk if they're all the same or different.
I just need a cavity to get filled cus my oh my am I In pain !!

If u get full scope medi cal, you should recieve a notice saying so. You can call worker but the wait is insane to ask one question.

It depends on the type of medical you have.  And if its for pregnancy only no you cant be seen for either.  Dentist visit don't cover cleanings but x rays yes after 21. As for optomitrist they only cover exams not lense and frames after 21. I just tried ding both last month and that's the information I got.

To get full scope medical do I have to call back to the social worker and ask? I qualify for everything so I think I should take advantage of this right now

For medi cal, dental will only cover your child(ren) until a certain age. It no longer covers adults. Unless its just a cleaning and xrays. They did before but have gotten strict. Same thing with the optomitrist. Im sure you can find out online for sure what exactly it is they cover but i had to get private dental for myself because they wouldnt cover anything for me. Also make sure you have full scope medi cal and not pregnancy related only medi cal. Hope that helps but i would definately double check.

So I have to apply for the dentist one ? I think I have a bad cavity cus when I eat sweets ohh girl does it hurt !! -_- do I call the social worker they appoint to us or the office.

I had medical at a point and I know they have dentical for dental and medical should cover optometrists because mine did. I haven't had it in over 4 years so it may be different but call and ask.
