Men=understandable, but come on ladies!!!

Why is it that I find more women asking me when I'm due and saying "oh you're not gonna make it" or "you're gonna explode before then"...UGH! I know I'm getting pretty good sized, and my tummy is for the most part all baby, but really??? I already know I've got a belly, I'm already getting tired of being pregnant, I really don't need to be reminded that there's a belly there, and yeah...that book I was talking about (if anyone saw any of the posts where I commented about it) I think I wanna change it to writing a book about what not to say to a pregnant woman for BOTH men AND women. I've been pregnant before, when I see someone that looks like their about to pop, I might point it out to DH, or he might point it out to me, but we do NOT EVER say ANYTHING to them...I know I don't like hearing it, I'm definitely not going to say it to someone else!

I get both the "oh you're REALLY starting to show now" and the "you look too small, you need to eat more" all from the same lady (assistant manager of a sandwich shop we frequent). Both are equally annoying.  Unless it is a friend of mine I just feel like people should just keep a lid on it.  The asst. manager lady also always has to make me stand up and model and then touches my belly (I hate it too, Cassandrajane!!)  And then she'll go on to tell us that after the baby is born she will be cuddling and feeding it when we go there and I might not get her back.  Oh, really.  I don't think so lol.  I feel like saying "we don't know you that well, we just like the sandwiches here, lady!"

The scout master for my son's pack shouted across the room to another pregnant mom ( a few weeks ahead of me) "My wife and I used to have that problem.  You know what we did?  Stopped eating pumpkin seeds in bed!  Haven't had that problem since."   I was just thinking thank goodness he was talking to her and not me.  Some people turn into idiots around pregnant women or something hehehe.

Can I help you write this book?  The next person to touch my belly I'm going to yell "I need an adult" and "stranger danger" and the next person to tell me "your getting big" I'll kill them!  What about pregnancy makes people think they can say inappropriate things?!  When did the comment "you look beautiful" or "you look great" fly out the window?!?  I could rant about this all day long!  I am right there with you and completely and totally understand!

Haha, I have a big thing about people touching my stomach. I dont like being touched. Unless I know them like John or my mum, well someone at work WHO I DON'T LIKE, came up to me, touched my belly and went 'You're Huge, you look like you're about to pop.. whilst rubbing my belly!!'

I know im huge but I dont need telling. You guys say my bump is huge but cute and stuff, thats fine! But 'OMG YOU'RE HUGE, Surely they have your dates wrong?' is a little rude??

Smj, I think your bump is lovely and perfect for how far along you are :)
I am Jealous :)

I got that with everyone of my pregnancies but the last two were getting alittle out of hand. I got kids asking if I had two babies in there!! DH would look at me out of the blue and say "wow your huge!" hahaha. I remember breaking down on the hwy and I had a man stop and he looked kinda scared cause he thought I was going into labor!!! I had Tristan, Hunter and Dalton with me and I was about 31 weeks or so. It was pretty funny. The look on his face when I told him that my DH was coming to tow me was priceless:~) Im glad he stopped just in case:~P

It's exactly the same for me, I am almost 30 weeks and to be honest I don't think Im THAT big, my weight is mainly bump and boob and I genuinely didn't think I'd got that big, But I've had people saying 'Oh are you sure you've only got one in there' 'It's not twins is it' 'Wow your gonna have a big baby' etc. I am not a serious person and laugh it off but it has made me especially conteous of my weight and figure...to the point where I've changed my eating habits!! But leave them to it, half the people who said comments to me had a worse figure than me and they weren't even pregnant!! x

Seriously... I hear ya! I look like im due any day and having an ultrasound to measure size because im measuring way ahead but my last was almost nine pounds and eleven days early. But i get it everywhere i go ppl saying wow you must be due anyday and i say nope dec 20 th and they act like its the most amazing news theyve ever heard, no way!!! Your huge ! There is no way youll make it til then blahh blahh. I get they dont mean to offend but its still annoying and sometimes when you go out dressed up trying to look and feel pretty.. Youd like ppl to comment on your outfit lol or at least look at your eyes when they talk to you not at your stomach.. Lol!!

LOL Ivy, I don't know, Josh told me the other day my nipples are getting huge...I just looked at him funny and told him I don't like hearing anything is "getting huge", lol. I'm not real pissy about it or anything, I just think if you're gonna say something, say something like "aww you look so tiny" after the person tells you the due date. I mean you're already feeling fat, you don't need someone to tell you that you look it too, lol.

Aliciaw, I got that "is it twins" thing more than once with DS.

Oh I know, but I get SO sick of hearing it! I even had a lady say "you've had enough to eat", actually last Thursday when we went out to dinner. I mean good grief, I'm not THAT big am I? Oh well, that's why I just don't say anything.

well Brinny I think that people think it's sort of a compliment...that's how I always took it. they're like wow you've come so FAR and you're ready to hold your little one...so they say something joking about it.

you remember how gigantic I was..and I was that big with Kahlan too..I got those comments all the time and I was always like "you betcha!"
