Metallic taste???

ok this may sound weird but has anyone ever been preggo and have a metallic taste like at the back of your tongue or like smelled something very strongly and not know where the smell is coming from? i am experiencig this right now and i did a couple of days ago as well...why would this be happening...probably not even relevent to pregnancy but i just had to ask!!

you are not going crazy...i experienced it.  i don't think it was something i had before i knew though...i think i was more like 6-8 weeks along maybe...  it was kind of subtle.  i also continue to experience cotton mouth...ugh!

yes I had that ... however my doc said it was from my prenatal vitiams.... u can also get it early on in pregnacy. so it can be both!!! good luck

You may notice a metallic taste in your mouth. The tongue can "taste" only sweet, salty, sour, and bitter sensations. Weird tastes can be caused by anything that interrupts the transfer of taste stimuli to the brain, or conditions that affect the way the brain interprets taste stimuli.

i actually cant find anything that says anything about the metallic taste..maybe i'm just over looking it, has anyone else ever heard of this as a sign of pregnancy?????????

actually i went to pregnancy.org and they mentioned that some women experience metallic taste in their mouth. It tells u day by day and week by week pregnancy info, its a really neat site. Hope this helps.
