If u want to dry up ur milk completely then use allergy medicine cause it has antihistamines in it that dries up ur milk. I breastfed my son for a year and once he turned one he switched to cow milk and I used dollar general allergy medicine to dry up my milk and it took a few days.

If you're wanting to formula feed now instead of breastfeed then I wouldn't do any thing said above it will only produce more milk and boobs will continue to hurt. If you're wanting to help dry up faster so the pain goes away then it sounds crazy but put cabbage leaves in your bra. The veins in it soaked up the milk and don't cause you to produce more. That's what I did. Plus them being cold helped with the soreness as well. If you're still wanting to try breastfeeding then do what's said above. Good luck and congratulations on your son!

On the other hand,  this is the perfect time to try breastfeeding again - now that your milk has come in.

If you've decided not to breastfeed,  pumping will just prolong this process.  The more you pump,  the more milk you produce.

If you have health insurance you can get a pump for free, i think medicaid too. Also just keep trying to get your baby to latch/call your dr or a latch consultant.
