My Gorgeous Boy Is Here! :) Labour Story.
I'd been having on and off again contractions for three weeks exactly on the 23rd.
That day I tried to, hopefully, get my contractions stronger and more consistent. Seems like dancing, squats and very light jumping jacks were a brilliant way to start! Did that for about an hour, then it was over to hubby to do some work ;)
Contractions started up again at 12am on the 24th and I started leaking, what was my Hubbies 'left overs' (sorry Tmi) at 12 30ish
Soon realised that it was a bit too 'much' fluid and found out that it was my waters that had gone! :D
And they kept on going!
Came into triage at 1 10am and was at 2cm. Because I was only at a two they wanted to send me home, which I blatantly refused to do. Good thing too! As I just couldn't handle the pain, and was given pethidine which wonderfully took the edge off, but made me nauseas, even with the anti sickness, guess the gas and air didn't really help, threw up 5-6 times.
The pain got so bad that I begged for an epidural, which I never wanted. This was around 7am and when they checked me I was at 7cm!
Tiptoe ran to my delivery room where I was again given gas and air, and then started to involuntarily push as soon as I layed down! Still begging for epidural. Thankfully it wasn't available.
Then by 8 20am exactly and through horrid pain my gorgeous baby boy, Zayan Mohammed Siddiqui was born, weighing in at a healthy 7lb 2 ounces with a full head of hair!
6 days shy of his due date :)
I did tear quite badly, second degrees, unfortunately, 115 stitches and a lot of blood loss later I got to enjoy my beautiful little boy!
In the long run, I'm immensely happy that I didn't get the epidural due to the after affects that it would have on my back!
He's latched on quite well and is feeding every roughly 40mins.
Love him to pieces but I've sworn off anymore kids! Ftm by the way lol
