My second pregnancy

My daughter is 17 months old and we are pregnant again.we are so excited since we have been trying to get pregnant for a while now. i went to get  my first ultrasound today at what i thought was 9 weeks 4 days. the ultrasound showed me at 5 weeks 4 days and there was a sac and a embryo the both matched 5 weeks 4 days. the problem was that she couldnt find a heart beat i personally think it is to early to find a heart beat but she has send me into a tizzy waiting for next week to do another one..... is there a reason this could be happening .. if anyone has any advice i would appriciate it.... thank you

The baby is growing as it should, cervix is closed....Will go in next week for viability check via ultrasound.  Just keeping a close eye I guess.

I'm sorry you're going through that.  I did that in my first pregnancy and it was so scary.  Mine ended in m/c but lots of people have spotting and have healthy pregnancies.  What did the dr say?

I went in thinking I was 10 weeks and was only 5 weeks 5 days.  Like you guys, they would not find a heartbeat but they told me it was too soon.  I went back a week later and there was a heartbeat!  The waiting was nerve-wracking but...  Don't lose hope.
stellkas- make sure to report the spotting to your dr.
