Need some help, could I be pregnant?

Hello everyone,

There are a few details to this situation, so I'm sorry if this gets a bit long. Let me start off by saying I am an adult in a long term relationship. I am getting married in a few weeks, so please don't judge me for my "irresponsible actions."

On December 26th, I got my period. It usually only lasts 3 days so by the 29th I was finished. I am on a 26 day cycle.

On January 1st, I had unprotected sex (twice). He did ejaculate inside of me once. About 30 hours later, we decided that our actions were probably a little too risky for our liking, and picked up the Plan B pill. I have taken this pill once before and had no side effects from it.

4 days ago, on January 7... I started spotting light brown. Mostly you could only see it when I wiped, but it was also on my underwear. This happened all day on and off on the 7th. On the 8th... there was nothing. On the 9th...spotting again. Today, it was only there (very light) when I wiped. I have NEVER had spotting between periods before.

Around the time that the spotting started, so did my lower back pains. I'm having pains in my lower back that wrap around to my hips. I can't seem to get comfortable.

I thought between the timing of my period and the Plan B, my chance of getting pregnant was VERY slim. But I'm not sure what to think of all of this... please help!

Actually your odds of pregnancy are decent because sperm can survive a week in a female and if you had unprotected sex multiple times (regardless of if he ejaculated) they could survive long enough to fertilize an egg. This holds even more true if you have short cycles. Plan B can cause irregular cycles and spotting any time it's used because it's a massive dose of hormones. (no matter what your past reactions have been to it as well) For this reason alone it should be used as infrequently as possible. Wait to see if you get your next period (it might be early or late) or wait two weeks and take a test with first morning urine. Unless you don't want to be pregnant-I assume you don't-use proper protection and birth control. Plan B isn't a substitute for either and shouldn't be treated as such.

hi.. i guess your chances of getting pregnant are still slim coz u took plan b in time.. this might be an effect of plan B... plan B seriously screws up your cycle and my cause many such signs as nausea, spotting and even your periods to arrive early and lighter than normal.. still if you are in a dilemma wait for your normal period and if more than 7 days late take a hpt.. it usually shows in a test after 14 to 16 days from the time you had sex.. don't stress too much cause that will cause more changes in your cycle delaying it even further.. Good Luck..
