How far long can u be to have an ultra sound??

I went to my first doctor visit at 9w+6 and they didn't do an ultrasound only let me hear the heart . They said I was gonna get mines done on my next appt. wich will make me 14 weeks

7 to 8 wks you can see and hear the baby.(: my first us is on the 15th(:

you can have one as early as 5 to 6 weeks but won't see anything but the sac.. sometimes even 4 to 5 if you have an endovaginal ultrasound.. but you won't see and embryo or heartbeat til just after 6 weeks
