Destynee! Aww thank you! Literally sounds so amazing to do, I tried the whole breathing in the steam from hot tea lol but the big bowl sounds a lot better! I just went n got orange juice with pulp thankfully it's my favorite so it won't be a problem!
Oh one more thought LOL, Make sure your drinking lots of water and Orange juice with pulp in it. That calcium will help boost ur immune system. Okay im done! Haha hope this helps
If u cant get ur hands on a neti, fill up a big bowl with bowling water, drape a towel over ur head and the bowl, and breathe in the steam. Itll help loosen up that phlegm. Then try that virgin hot toddy. Heres the recipe I use, it normally has brandy in it but of course were pregnant. :)
2-3 oz of apple cider vinegar
1 oz honey
1/2 oz of lemon juice
Boil together in a saucepan until honey dissolves. Once hot, drink up. You can add a lil ginger and sugar if you cant tolerate the taste but youll feel so much better! Take care
Have you ever tried a Neti pot? Theres different types, but the one I used was a steaming one and u breathe in the steam from it. Try a virgin Hot Tati to drink with it.
I've had one cold this pregnancy so far it was terrible and on top of that I hardly felt my baby move while I was sick! My sister told me that it makes the baby sick too! :( idk if I believe that though. Tea with honey helped and I night nasal strips for my stuffy nose but they didn't help much.. Maybe a more expensive brand would have. Feel better.
Octmommy, I have to try that salt water thing. My nose is forever clogged and my eyes keep watering up. Every time I sneeze my throat aches ugh I hate it I feel like my head is all cloudy ugh
Tea with honey, if your sinuses are clogged pour warm salt water through your nasal passages (look up how to do it right) then rest and fluids.
Yeah I did but I really don't want to resort to medicines I hate putting medicines in my body not knowing what they're actually doing to my son I know they say it's safe but ugh still.. Was hoping for some natural remedies
Look up safe medications you can take during pregnancy. There is only a few but it's worth a shot to look and see if any of the medicine can help relieveyour pain.
