No period 5 weeks after Mirena removal

I had my Mirena removed on feb. 26 2011.  Did not have any bleeing after removal and no problems.  I have since then had frequent urination, larger and darker areolas, dull back ache, some mild cramping to pelvic area, breats also feel fuller and heavier.  I have not had any bleeding at all since removal.  My husband and I had unprotected intercourse 2 days before removal, but since then have used a condom.  Do you think I could be pregnant or is this just my body re-regulating to not having the mirena any more?  By the way this is my second mirena removal and after the first one my periods came back the first week or so after.  Thanks for any imput!

I've had my IUD taken out the 3rd of February of this year. Within a week & 1/2 later I was feeling exactly how you are feeling. Breast tenderness, faint back ache, more urination and and uneasy feeling in my stomach as if I'm on a banana boat ride. I tested on the 16th, 19th & 23rd and all came back negative but symptoms were getting worse. I finally tested on the 3rd of March and it was positive. Made my 1st checkup and baby was conceived the 12th of February. I thought the same thing too after I had my IUD out that the way I was feeling was maybe my body getting back to normal and fluctuating hormones. My husband even said the same thing as I was off birth control. So almost a month later was when I tested out positive. Whether you're going for a baby or not best of luck to you!

yeah i know what you mean, request one if period doesn't show up before, it can't hurt.

I have taken a test, it was the dollar tree brand but it was negative.  My OB says to wait another month to see if it comes and then I might need to be seen ... but i'd kind of like to ask for a blood test just to be sure ya know?

Have you taken a hpt? I would definitely test if period has not arrived. I had my mirena out in Jan this year and bled straight after it even though I had just finished my monthly period.
