I am sorry to hear your news. Unfortunately I know exactly what you are going through as I just had my second D&C yesterday. The first time my baby stopped growing at six weeks so that miscarriage was pretty normal. Then this time I started spotting and then bleeding a little more heavily the next day. I had went in and saw the doc, the checked my HCG level and then did an ultrasound to compare the two. Unfortunately for being 7 weeks pregnant my level was only at 26, and the ultrasound showed signs of maybe only a 2 day old pregnancy. Which I knew wasnt possible. So as hopeful as you probably are and maybe I am too late in posting this I know your doctor is right. Plus with no fetus in there you may be in the same boat as me. Now after my D&C is done I Have to wait to see if the tissue they removed was baby tissue or not. If it is not then it is most likely an ectopic pregnancy. So I hope that everything turns out better for you and I hope that you are ok. But if not I am sorry for your loss. Just know that you are not alone and you couldnt have done anything to prevent this.
Hello,
I think you should do as your doctor advises. They know the situation best.
Best regards,
Dr. Downing
