Not sure/bill

Okay, the insurance I'm on only pays 90%. So I have a Doctor bill of $300+
I was suppose to pay it at the end of 6months but they said I didn't have to at the 6th month because I found out so late.
I was living with my mother in law and she told me she would help pay for it because she did with my first child.
Well I'm due in 11days, she doesn't want to help pay for it. My husband and I live on our own now and he's having a hard time finding a job. What will they do if I don't have it paid when my water breaks???

Hi there.  the very best thing to do is to pay on a regular basis small amounts.  Don't just skip out on it as that becomes a credit issue that will follow you.  Even if you just pay 10 or 20 dollars a month toward it, this shows your intention of paying it.

I would call the doctors office and let them know you ARE paying it and you are sending payments.  Then just start doing it in those small increments.  The 90 percent is paid, remember. So, they've been paid a good deal and are just missing your copay.

Now, that is just for your doctor care during pregnancy and their part of the delivery.  Remember, the hospital portion is generally separate charges.

Whenever you are having money issues, it's okay.  We all go through hard times.  But you have to 'show good faith' and make payments.  Drs and doctors offices are willing to work with people usually if they see they are in good faith going to TRY to pay (even if it takes a while)---  rather than skipping out on it altogether.  This goes for all bills and creditors.

good luck hon

Well they cant refuse care and im not sure where you live but typically prenatal care should all be apart of the same "service" although its multiple services. But the hospital legally cannot refuse care if you go into labor
