O- Blood Type Mommies

My blood type is O- and I've heard that this may cause problems for my baby. Are any of you mommies O- as well? What did you have to do in order to keep you and baby safe? And was everything okay? Is your baby healthy now? I just want to know what I need to expect. I am almost 13 weeks pregnant. Thanks.

You will need a shot that will be given at 28 weeks and 34 weeks that will prevent your blood antibodies attacking your baby in case of the blood mix. Its not so dangerous in first pregnancy but could be in the future pregnancy if shots are not given.

That makes you rh negative.... if its your first baby dont worry you will get a shot at 28 weeks and one after birth... the only problems it can cause is if your blood mixes with the babies but that shouldnt happen until birth
