OT: lump under the skin--painful and doesn't move

i have a painful lump under my skin right where my leg meets my labia (sorry tmi).. its exactly where my underwear rests. anyways it hurts if pressed on. its hard and doesn't move, but looking on the outside you can't see anything. i noticed it probably over a month ago.
ive had to reschedule my pap smear once and in addition to that my doctor's office has moved it twice... so i haven't been in to ask my OBGYN about it. i remember the first time i rescheduled the appointment i wondered if the lump would still be there, and each time they rescheduled it after that ive continued to wonder if this stupid lump would last that long. the fact that it has worries me just a little and makes me think its not a pimple like you'd originally assume.
what could this be? cyst? ingrown hair UNDERNEATH the skin? again theres nothing visible from the outside and nothing has risen to the surface after all this time.

I have had that too, and when I asked my dr. he said it was just a sebacious cyst(water cyst) I got one right after I had this little one and I poked it with a needle and drained it myself..it hurt like a son of a gun, but it hurt before I did that too lol it felt much better the next morning and it was cleared up the day after that..I am not telling you to go and poke it lol just in case it is not that...but generally that is what kind of cysts that you get in that area...

this is weird... i would think ingrown hair first.. u may not be able to see it cause of the spot its in.. and next think i can think of is fat accumulation on the bone?? not sure how viable this is, but its worth researching... and when do you finally get to see ur obgyn??  try massaging it as weird as it may sound or as much as it may hurt if it is a fat accumulation massagin may loosen it up...

I had that! It hurt when I pushed on it and it was a small round lump under the skin exactly where you are describing.  My Dr. said it was a sebaceous cyst and nothing to worry about. Mine went away on it's on but it took about a month.
