my dads side of the family lives a little north of OKC. i think im gonna go into labor worrying about them so much!

I'm in Saint Louis, MO and several areas got hit hard last night here too :( I'm praying for everyone around here. We were blessed and never lost power although we did loose cable&internet. My baby shower is supposed to be today at a park nearby but with what happened last night I'm quite nervous. I really don't think anyone will show!

I'm trying to stay positive i hope your right. One of my good coworkers is throwing it for me, she really went out of her way so i will also feel bad for her if no one shows. she called me late last night and told me she had no power so I'm up extra early this morning to see if I'm going to need to help get things together (cooking, setting up, etc) with everything that's happened it's just not looking good :(

Just keep in touch with her to stay updated. Its awesome that you will help if its needed. As long as she says its not cancelled then you should be fine. If it needs to be pushed off until tomorrow then so be it.

Thanks for the uplifting words :) she actually had to reserve the park and most everyone who is going are coworkers so it's almost impossible for it to be pushed to tmrw. We don't even have the phone numbers for the majority of the people who were supposed to come. Still trying to stay upbeat though. i just feel bad sitting here waiting for the shower to start and she's trying to put everything together without power! i feel like i have to help :)

Well hopefully it will al come together. Hell, if not, just have em bring the gifts to work on Monday : )

I'm sure she will let you know if things change, just make sure you let her know that your available if she needs you : )
