Out Partying
How often do you ladies think is fair for your bf/hubby to go out with friends for drinking, pool, poker, etc...
@kimejo - we dont really have "friends" that we hang out with together. He has lots of friends in his hometown but he doesnt like hanging out with them too much because some are deadbeats and try to pull him back to his old lifestyle. And he especially doesnt like them being around me because they try to get touchy-feely when Im around. He just fusses on FB anymore really.
My husband goes out every once in a while but not to drink or party. He goes to ride four wheelers at the sand dunes with a few friends. He always asks if I wanna go with him though he'd rather me be with him.
I don't go out... I'd much rather lay in bed and watch TV then talk to people or go anywhere. My bf is the opposite. He loves making friends and talking to people... he's just a social butterfly. Were such opposites. He doesn't party or drink... he likes to go to his buddies after work and smoke up there before coming home on his tough days... that's about it. He has one or two friends over quite a bit and sometimes its annoying. But I know he needs his space and I love having my own space as well. Plus I know his friends will stop coming over once we have a crying baby at home lol and they won't be allowed to smoke in my house.
My bf didnt go out to start with but as I get nearer the end of my pregnancy am lucky if I see him once a week its heart breakin cause I miss him so much I thought he stopped loving me but then he explained he was out all the time so whn baby is here hes over bein out all the time and I can go out with my pals
I kick my man out of the house once a week once every other week. We both need "me" time.
My boyfriend will go out only when I'm workin' 'cuz he doesn't wanna be home by himself all day and do nothin'. Sometimes he'll have his friends over and they'll leave before I get home from work so we can have us time. But sometimes he'll stay out really late 'til like 2 A.M. which makes me sad, but he's happy and that's all that matters.
my daughters dad is always out! he makes music nd has his shows nd stuff... i use to go wit him all the time to everything.. he doesnt like takin me to the studio anymore cuz all his friends smoke nd stuff in there nd he doesnt want me around all that which is understandable yu no.. nd to his shows i dnt go anymore cuz theyre at clubs nd stuff nd he says its not safe nd its not a place fur a pregnant girl to be at.. even if he asked me to go i wouldnt.. him nd his friends sometimes do all ages events like at parks nd stuff yu no family type of thing, those i would go to but he rarely does those... so i juss let him be.. thats how he makes his money right now nd its wat he loves to do, always has been so im not ganna complain
I am with both of you. My hubby works 7 days a week. 5 days at his ft job and 2days a week on building our house. So time together as a family is precious. But so is my me time lol. Hopefully our house will be done before August and we can go back to our normal routine. Plus one ;-)
I know how that feels. My hubny works 7-7 every day, well every 3rd day he gets off at 5, but he schedules his game night when he gets off at 5, so those nights I dint get to spend time with him. Its hard for me bc I was laid off a few weeks ago so I'm home alone 12 hrs a day, he is tired by 10 every night so basically from 7-10 we spend time with each other. The sacrifices of being a farmers wife though! Lol.
I agree that it is healthy. My hubby goes out every Saturday. I guess its hard for me because he works nights so he is only home with me 3-4 nights a week depending if its long/short work week. If you add a night with friends I omly get 2-3. And we dont see each other during the day because Im gone for work/school from 6:30am-4:30pm...
my husband has a guys night here at our house every week usually, sometimes every couple weeks. They play ps3, and I usually hide in our bedroom lol. My parents will be moving back here next weekend though, so i'll be able to go to their house.
my hubby is my best friend also and they always invite him to go out and have a few drinks but he wont go unless i can but i actually tell him to go out but he choses not to which i really appriciate :_) gotta love him
My boyfriend doesn't go out either, and neither I do I really. If I do then its to a movie with my best friend once like every couple months. But me and my boyfriend have only been together a year so it might change and I would be okay with him going out with friends maybe once a week. As long as it doesn't become a super regular thing and he isn't going out all the time I don't really care. I actually wish he would go out but he just isn't social.
Bri neither of you go out with friends?? My husband is my very best friend but I've learned it is healthy to have some 'me' time and same for hubby. :-)
Unfortunately my hubby doesnt have that kind of fun. A little sad really but I dont either so we just try to make the best of it together.
My hubby goes to his friends house like once a week after work, but most the time they come over for dinner, and he plays poker every weekend. But its at his uncles house anyways. But I've learned you know, he's gonna come home the time he's away is time to myself. Gotta let boys be boys
