Overly prepared? Baby shower?

I am only 17 weeks!

Not even halfway and I have my daughters crib, stroller, car seat, a bassinet and toddler seat! I got this 1,000 dollar designer baby travel [Orbit Baby] system on sale! But it's excessive isn't it? I didn't pay a grand by the way!

I have socks, dresses, (total of 49 sets) diapers, a bouncer, a swing, play pen, a wipe warmer, 3 towels and I've yet to have a baby shower!

My mom wants to have one.. I mean, do I need one? Should I say no?

You could always ask for gift cards and use them for things you'll need later after you run out of what you have now (diapers.. bigger clothes as the baby grows.. baby food.. etc) :-)

Id have a pamper party but ask for size 1 and up since newborn tend to not last as long. U basically have a mini shower thats mostly shampoo pampers wipes diaper rash small things :) alot of ppl actually like them more bcuz its easier and cheaper than attending a shower

Yeah i would make a registry of all the small things, and ask people to only buy whats on the registry. At my shower all i got was baby blankets and lotion, lol. My son is going to be three next month amd were STILL usig lotion from the shower.

You still shud its fun and more than likely someone will bring something handy u never thought about imthe same way but def wipes diapers and if u havent got them bottles bibs blankets bottle cleaners(since they are supposed to be trashed after3 months) pacifiers baby hygiene products like wash baby powder diaper cream lotion u can use all of that till 2yrs really older even for yourself ta have that baby softness and freshness lol and clothes for when the babys older i got until the baby is 12 months ready to order if they ever can tell me the sex lol

I would do what she says. You can never have to much wipes/diapers. So you could have a diaper raffel and write that on the invite. (Look up on google if you don't know what it is.) Or make a registry somewhere and write on the invites to PLEASE just get what's on the registry. I'm 28 weeks and I'm having my shower in a few weeks. I try to refrain from buying much until after the shower so I know what I need exactly but as you know, buying baby things is hard NOT to do. And don't forget the little things thay slip the mind! (Diaper bag, mittens, hair care, thermometer, boppy, teething toys, diaper rash creme) and just things that are nice to have. Most people at showers don't buy the big things you've already purchased except family members so you should be okay. Baby showers are fun anyways, for games and such lol.

You can have like a diaper and wipe lil thing. Just tell them on you invitations and tell them different sizes. They always come in handy!
