Is the ovulation calendar/calculator pretty accurate?

I prefer fertity friend for charting. I rarely ovulate on the 14th day of my cycle. For me I'm all over the place, anywhere from day 11 - 18. So i prefer using a basal body thermometer and ovulation tests to track my cycle when ttc. Fertility friend has the vest charting tools available online.

MOST women ovulate about 14 days before their periods start. You can try ovulation tests, but it doesn't work for some women...there's also BBT (basal body temperature) you take your temperature at the same time every morning, after at least 3 consecutive hours of sleep. Put the thermometer  somewhere you can get it without having to move much, and don't even sit up. Movement can cause it to go up. There are basal body thermometers, but I just used a regular one. You have to chart for a couple cycles to see what your average base temp is and when you have a spike of at least .4 degrees you ovulated the DAY BEFORE. If you're unsure or have irregular cycles just have sex every other day from 18 days before your period start to about 10 days before...that's what I did and I just stopped worrying about everything else and got pregnant soon after.

Thankyou for your help I thought if your cycle lasts 7 or 8 days your more likely to ovulate 5 or 6 days later

I think they are, if you put in all the rigth information about yourself eg your cycle lenth etc, it gives you a rough idea and you could also buy ovulation strips to double your chances

Only if you have VERY regular cycles.
