PCOS and Pregnancy

Hi everyone :)
I am 8 weeks pregnant and I have PCOS. I am not insulin resistant. Before I got pregnant, I just had a high level of testosterone but my progesterone levels before I was pg were good. I was not on any medication for my PCOS when I got pregnant. My HCG levels are good and I saw my babies heart beat at 134 bpm when I was 6 weeks :) I wanted to know what can my PCOS do to my pregnancy? Has anyone had a successful pregnancy with PCOS?

Hi!
PCOS typically only causes major problems with irregular periods and infertility.
Once a patient is pregnant, the pregnancy usually goes well.  There is a slightly higher risk of miscarriage associated with PCOS, but since you have seen the heart beat, you will probably take home a baby!  I often tell my patients >90% chance once we have seen the heart beat!
Good luck and congratulations!
