Paranoid!

Hi everyone,

I'm 29 weeks and midwife told me I should start monitoring baby's movements. I have been doing the whole 10 kicks counting but I'm not sure if it's supposed to be every hour he should kick ten times or just when he's awake (I've noticed he's in a routine of his sleep times.)

I don't feel happy with his movements at all but then again I feel I'm just being paranoid with having two previous miscarriages I keep stressing myself out about the small stuff!

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Every baby is different. Mine is random but mostly awake at night or when I lay down. He pushes and stretches not really a kicker. Im 29wks

The 10 kick count is more for if you don't feel them for a while. Most of the time, you don't need to count. I did it only 1 time and because I constantly feel my baby move  (38 almost 39 weeks), I don't count at all. Hope that helps.

I only maybe feel 10 movements in a day. Try not to stress too much, if you feel like something is off call your ob. That's what they are there for! No question or concern is stupid

I'm 33 weeks I never count because my baby may be sleeping. I know when shes Awake. Sometimes its way more then 10 movements and she sleeps around 1 p.m. everyday. As long as your baby kicks you shouldnt worry

As long as you are feeling him move around normal times I would not worry. mine gets REALLY active after I eat dinner, not too much during the day and usually not at all til 10 or 11 am. If I am worried at all I usually just press lightly where he is laying and that gets him moving :)
