Peeing when coughing

I am only 17wks 5days and Today I was running errands and I was on my way home and I coughed and almost peed my pants! I didn't think this would even come close to happening until mid to late 3rd trimester.

When does this usually start?

Oh dear, I'm 19 weeks and that has been happening to me since I started my 12 week mark.

Aww...I'm sorry, you've got the "sneezy pees" as a nurse called them. I never had them with Elijah but he was breech, I'm almost hoping I have them this time and I DON'T have another breech baby...

When I told my BF he just laughed at me. I told him wait till I'm sitting on his couch and it happens. LOL he bought the couch before we got together so he still calls it "his couch"

Oh yes, you get that too. My husband finds my urinating all over myself amusing!! It is so embarrassing though. And it doesn't just happen when I cough. It happens when I sneeze or even laugh!! It's insane...

I'm sure I will get to that point soon. Not looking forward to it. I've had a cough all day today and my nose has started to run I think I might be getting another cold. This ***** time to dig out the warm steam inhaler again.

Are those good? I bought a Vicks Vaporizer and I think it makes my nasal congestion worse lol. I have a cold, too. Ugh...runny nose, nasal congestion, coughing, headache, you name it. So does the warm steam inhaler do the job?

I have had the sneezy pees since 10 weeks or so,..I had csections previously and I SWEAR my bladder is not in the right spot - smack in the middle of my abdomen - when the baby is rolling around I have little leaks... had so many last night I was worried my water was leaking.... it is uncomfortable and embarassing and with my increased sense of smell I think I smell of pee.... I know I am being crazy - I know I do not smell - but I have a feeling it is only going to get worse in the weeks to come!!! Maybe we should invent depends for pregnant woman!

Welcome to the wonderful world of pregnancy!!!   Imagine how it is for ME being on my 8th pregnancy LOL.  It seems sometimes I can't even move a certain way without leaking some.  It really *****.  BEcuase for me, it doesn't completely go away after I give birth.  Hopefully it will for you though...mine used to...til I had so many kids!!!

I had 2 BAD colds in the second trimester this last time, one was a chest cold and I coughed a LOT....and had some pee come out when I did most times.  Pretty gross....the things no one tells you about being pregnant until you are ;-)

LOL sneezy pees!! Try kegel exercises!!!!!! It is supposed to strengthen everything for you...helps with that situation and getting you back to normal quicker after birth!

unfortunately when you are pregnant you dont have as much bladder control.
This sort of thing can happen as well though if u have a urine infection.
If it hurts or is uncomfortable for you to wee then go see your DR.
Try wearing something like tenna lady pads. They will so up any leakages you may have.

I started getting that when I was about 23 weeks or so.. I got it everytime I coughed or sneezed... now im 35 weeks and its really bad, i literally do pee everytime, and my fiancee laughs at me and makes jokes everytime.. its so embarrassing

haha yep happened to me i sneezed one time in the grocery store and unmistakeably peed. wear pantiliners lol they're lifesavers.

Fortunately this doesn't happen to me every time i cough or sneeze but i definitely have had an accident here and there lol! I'm not sure when the first time occurred though...but seriously like mom2ariana said..wear panty liners! they ARE lifesavers! especially when you get into the later months and start flowing discharge like Niagara Falls LOL!

So far I haven't had it happen again. I haven't let my bladder get that full again.  I have been coughing non stop today also. I think I am getting another cold or it never fully went away.  With the sinus congestion I can't tell if it's just pregnancy related or a cold till I get other symptoms which the cough now has proven it's a cold

Sorry about your cold. I'm going through that myself and think I may have a fever, or will have a fever in the next couple of hours. Does that s u c k or what. I'm worried the fever might affect my baby? Is that a possibility? Geez....I just love my life right now :(
