Could I be pregnant???

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about four months now.  I had my last period on January 26th and I pretty much always have a 28 day cycle (very rarely it will be a few days longer).  I have been monitoring my basal body temperature and according to my peak I ovulated on the 18th/19th, which, during those days I felt a pain in my lower abdomin on the right side (that is quite common for me).  On Feb. 20th, I had a very small amount of a reddish orange discharge that quickly changed to a brown discharge like old blood.  On the 22nd it turned very chunky and was still brown, but it was a very small amount. I have also had some food cravings, and headaches as well as trouble going to the bathroom (#2) yet I feel I have to go all the time and I am really gassy too.  (Sorry for the details) Yesterday was supposed to be the first day of my period and the blood seemed to change back to a reddish but is still extremely light.  Could it have been an implantation that didn't hang on?  I don't know if it is something I need to worry about.  Could it be possible that I am pregnant?  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

It looks like your colleagues are offering good advice.  If you think you migh be pregnant (which you do), take a home pregnancy test.  Interpret the results within the time frame indicated in the instructions.  If negative, it may be too early, so repeat it in one week.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

I say take a test. I to had my last period on the 26th of January. And last Saturday had some spotting, two days ago I took a test and I'm pregnant. Mine is more of a shock since we have a 3.5 year old and a 9 month old. This is my fourth pregnancy, first time every with spotting or plantation bleeding and first time ever with nausea.  Best of luck.
