My friend is 16 weeks pregnant and is wanting to get her monroe pierced... is this safe ladies? Let me know thanks!!

Monroe is a piercing above Ur top lip and to the side. Like the mole on Marilyn Monroe. I've had mine now for 13 years. Lol. I'd say no to getting it done while prego tho.
It's best to wait until after the baby is born. It's just not worth the risk. I got a tattoo before I knew I was pregnant and it took lime 2 months to completely heal vs. about 3 weeks normally.
In California its illegal for you to get pierced because of the risk of infection. A pregnant woman has a harder time fighting infections and the piercing will take twice as long to heal.
Most tattoo and piercing parlors will not touch a pregnant women. The risk of infection is not worth it. So no, its really not safe.
