Doubtful with Positive Pregnancy tests

Both urine and blood pregnancy test were positive. However, I have high TSH level 8.710. Could my tests be affected with this? I hope I'm already pregnant... Are false positives possible with blood pregnancy tests? HELP!!!

Why would your TSH levels affect the test? Pregnancy tests measure the amount of HCG in your urine. The blood test measures exactly how much HCG is in your body. The embryo gives off HCG to let your body know not to menstruate.

Sounds like you're preggo! CONGRATS! If you're due in October, come join me and other ladies from this forum in our own private forum for mommies due in October 09:

Thanks! My instincts tells me I'm pregnant but I don't wanna keep my hopes up. Might get disappointed if it's false positive... I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Hmm, not sure about the effects on a pregnancy test from your TSH levels, but I wouldn't think false positives could be possible with blood tests. Of course, I could be wrong, but I would feel pretty sure about the results gotten from a blood test.
Congratulations!
