Possible Pregnancy

So after my post last week I've been going to the lab every 2 days to get hcg tests done to read my levels and they are dropping but the Dr said this could be because if this is a new pregnancy that the hcg beta wouldn't pick it up if it's too early. I still take hpt's & they are still positive. I still haven't gotten my period yet. Has anyone gone thru this before?

Generally you would be expecting your numbers to double every 48 hours at this point in a viable pregnancy..  But then again your doctor said it could be because its new.

With that said, you cant go by the positive pregnancy test because you will continue to test positive until your numbers go below 25 (or 50 depending on the type of test you are using).

In my last pregnancy, I found out at 12 weeks that i had a blighted ovum with an empty sac measuring 7 weeks.... I had a d&c done to remove the pregnancy.... I was still testing positive on pregnancy test over a week later because my HCG had not returned to below 25 yet.

Good Luck, I hope your next numbers show an increase.
