Powerade bad during pregnancy?

This may sound really dumb to some. But I read an article that said to much soda & to much coffee can cause miscarriages.. It got me worried and made me wonder about powerade? I know it has alot of sugar but if I drank only that and water would be harmful to my child ? I know obviously not water but the powerade..
I use to be real mad with sodas and I'm trying to substitute it with something that won't harm my child.

My wife doctor recommended her to drink powerade. It's very good for her because of the vomiting.  As her body will get back the electrolyte.

I posted the first comment on here but since then I have read that powerade doesn't contain that much caffeine as energy drinks and that some doctors / midwives actually recommend it to pregnant women when they have morning sickness to replace all the vitamins etc

I would stay away from it. I'd just make some juices or smoothes in a blender.

It's safe. Like you said it just has a lot of sugar and salt. As long as you're keeping that in mind and not drinking a whole bunch you're good.

Perfectly fine. It you are wanting to breast feed Gatorade actually helps with your supply!

The reason they tell you not to drink them or too much of them is because of the high caffeine content. On a little fetus it can make the heart beat too fast and this can be fatal. This is what I've always been told
