Pre-pregnancy size

So, I am due in 18 days! I'm young and this is my first child. Before pregnancy I weighed about 130, and at this point am weighing in around 180.

Well I went shopping the other day because I wanted to get a couple things for this coming summer, but I felt dumb trying on 100 different sizes and still not knowing what to purchase.. it was really stressful! Before pregnancy I could fit into a size 3 with some brands but always a size 5. My SO says my butt has deffinately grown with pregnancy and I have some stretchmarks on my thighs and hips, so I mean I've obviously grown there. The best fitting size I found that easily went up & over my butt and decently over my thighs/hips was a size 9/10. I couldnt get them to button, but once baby boy has exited, I'm sure that will be no problem. I purchased 2 pairs of shorts in the 9/10 size, but Im just curious if thats going to be my size from now on or if I should wait & possibly exchange them?  Do hips & butts usually go back to previous size, or what goes on down there?

When you breastfeed you lose a lot of weight and it contracts your uterus which causes it 2 go back 2 it's normal size.  Your hips do spread apart during pregnancy so the baby can go through the birth canal better and when it's your 1st pregnancy they will go back to the way they were.  After your 1st pregnancy most women go back 2 their pre pregnancy size within like 2-3 months if breastfeeding.  After your 2nd kid though chances are you won't lose all the weight.  But since this is your 1st child and you will be breastfeeding and exercising chances are you will definitely go back 2 your pre pregnancy size

Maybe buy a few sundresses...I've found that they're more forgiving of the extra weight. I still wear some of my pre-pregnancy dresses, when I was a size 6...now I'm size huge lol.

My shoe size went up a size after I had my first. I went from having 35-40 pairs of shoes that fit to having none. I've now got 3 pairs. Not going to buy many more until I know I'm done having kids. Hope you have better luck than me.

I'm waiting until afterward, way way after to start my shopping.
Kind of like a rewarding myself for losing the baby weight.
Plus I heard ever woman bounce back at difference rate, some took years :(
And even your shoe size might go up, I hope not. Really don't want to give up all my favorite heels. Miss them already, LOL.

The dayvu give birth youll be about the size u were at about 5-6 months. Your body is going to lose a lot of fluid weight plus baby but do not expect ur tummy to be flat again just bcus baby is gone.... if u diet n exercise and breast feed its very possible for u to get back to ur pre-pregnancy weight within a few months. This is my 3rd baby and i did it with my first 2 and plan to do the same with this one. Im very opposite whwn it comes to gaining pregnancy weight. I gain about 35-45 lbs in the first 7 months and gain nothing the last 16 wks. Ive actually lost quarter lb. Bottom line is its ur choice if u stay that size. If u eat healthy n exercise u can definitely be a size 3 again.

My friend told me that it might take a while to get back down to pre-pregnancy size, but our hips may be wider afterwards. Not all the time, but some sometimes womens hips get wider after giving birth. I need summer clothes so bad. It is so hot here and all I have is winter clothes, but I'm waiting until after the baby is born to buy some clothes. I don't want to spend money on clothes and then have them not fit me after I deliver. My due date is tomorrow, but she's being stubborn, so hopefully she will be here in the next week.

I plan to excercise, eat healthy, and breastfeed so I know I will lose some of the weight, just curious I guess as to if women usually will stay thicker and wider hips after first baby?
