Pregnancy Weight

Ok so 1 of my friends only gained 8lbs her entire pregnancy! Since giving birth 4 months ago she has lost 45lbs...makes me feel kinda bad that i gained 60 & have only lost 38 of it! Has anyone else not gained alot of weight during their pregnancy? Another one of my friends has gained NO WEIGHT at all! She is currently 34 weeks. I didnt even know that was possible! When i was pregnant i was HUNGRY lol. Im not a Dr. or anything, but is it healthy to gain under 10lbs or no weight at all??

I only gained 10lbs. I left the hospital 10 lbs lighter than my starting weight. I'm also of average weight and height and baby weighed 7 pounds.

on the news here (uk) last night were a group of mums (all overweight) while pregnant and they started healthy eating and exercise during pregnancy. Most of the mums actually lost yes LOST weight during the pregnany, a few maintained and others gained only a few pounds. One new mum actually weighed 5lb less after giving birth than her initial check in weight.
With my 3 children I gained 3-4 stone with each ( 42lb) and have never fully lost it. Am tcc baby 4 now and I intend to lose weight initially as I am exercising regularly and eating healthily now and stay active throughout the pregnancy.

I lost 25 pounds when I was pregnant and managed to gain some it back. I was 2 pounds under my pre-pregnancy weight when I gave birth. I was 147 before pregnancy, I weighed myself a week ago and was at 93 pounds. I'm working hard to gain weight and am up to 100 now. Only 10 to go. My problem though was that I was vomiting nonstop when I was pregnant and had trouble holding down food. After delivery I had Gastritis and GERD and had no appetite and still had trouble eating. It's finally getting better.

It's different for everyone. My aunt only gained 6lbs her entire pregnancy. And I believe she had a 6lb baby. CRAZY!! haha But she is also overweight, so that could explain that. I started out 20-25 lbs over weight with this pregnancy (the biggest I have ever been in my life!) And I lost 16lbs from week 7-20. Then I gained it all back plus about 12 pounds or so and I'm just about 34weeks. My midwife isn't worried though and baby is growing fine now, and that's all that matters at this point! :) BUT I have a lot of work ahead of me once I give birth. I want to get back in shape. Stress over the last 2 years really hindered me from losing the baby weight last time.

I only gained about 1 lbs with my pregnancy and since having him almost 3 months ago I am down 43 lbs. I was big to begin with so my doctor didn't want me gaining too much weight. As long as baby is growing and getting nutrients I don't think it is a big deal. But im not a Doctor.
