at the begining of my pregnancy I started getting symptoms of oncoming cold.. i started taking vitamin c in a powder a few times a day.. and drank lots of tea with honey and within a few days my sore throat subsided and disapeared
I'm so against medicine during pregnancy. But my doctor told me I can take tylenol & I also researched home remedies. Gargle with warm salt water, drink lots of decaffinated tea, stay hydrated with water, eat soup, vitamin c supplements help, & if you have a runny nose put drops of salt water in it & blow your nose, use a vaporizor when you sleep. I swear I felt better in 3 days.
you can also take robitissin (the regular kind), all natural cough losanges, mucinex if u get too congested, sudafed, tylonol (regular strength)... benadryl will deff help you sleep... ive been lucky enough to avoid the flu so far but I had severe bronchittis, cold, sinus infection and tjose are all the meds ive been told by my dr to take... hope something in there will help... also something else that might help ur throat is just hot tea with a little sugar and honey (no milk)...
I had to take Benadryl several times during my pregnancy. It took about a week, but it managed the symptoms. Make sure your fever doesn't get over 100.4
Okayy I will try. But no matter how much I drink, at night I wake up several times from a dry throat and it makes my lips crack and it stinks. Anything I can do about that?
Paracetamol/panadol..I'm sick too...unfortunately not much you can do or take....I've been having throat lozenges putting honey in my tea and using a vapour rub on my chest at night to help with congestion etc...I woke up sick Tuesday and now on Saturday am starting to come good. Just rest a lot and keep hydrated.
Is that over the counter?
Paracetomol is fine during all stages of pregnancy
