Pregnant college student

Hi, on new years eve, my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex. About 2-3 days later I took the Next Choice pill. It is 1/6/14 and I was supposed to get my period today yet I didn't. I've been feel queasy with breast tenderness, as well as fatigue. I know I'm supposed to wait at least a week because it may be late but I go back to school soon. If I am pregnant I'd rather take necessary precautions while I'm home rather than 3 hours away. Is there a strong chance that I am not pregnant and i should wait for the period or am i wasting my time? Either way, I'm really uneasy about everything.

Not at all I'm a senior in college I am supposed to be graduated in July, I consider this pregnancy a slight speed bump in my education, to be honest it was a surprise and I was pretty upset at first
But I'm just overjoyed now and cannot wait for my little princess to come
I am 39 weeks prego and still in school and I'm actually working on an essay at the moment lol
Everything will work out :)

Thank you all. I'm just a little nervous. I'm a junior, so this pregnancy is almost like a deal breaker for the rest of my education.

Yes I took that pill once before and it messed up my periods... I was bleeding every 2 weeks
It took a good 2 1/2 months for me to get my regular cycle back on track
I think you have up to 5 days (120 hours) to take the pill after you had the intercourse
Obviously the sooner you take it the better
You're just gonna have to wait it out
In a few weeks I would take a pregnacy test
Best of luck to ya girly :)

Those pills mess with your hormones and effect people differently. Some people get their period immediately after taking it (within hours) some people get their periods months down the line, just depends on your body. The pills also say that they should be taken within 72 hours, so you could have the chance of not being pregnant but you will have to wait to know. If you were supposed to get your period today I would wait another week or so and take a pregnancy test.

After I took that pill my period was 72 days late. Same with my friend she didn't get her period the whole month and then got it the second month.

It says on the box or the instructions how much the chances of it being effective goes down with each passing day. I would wait a few days then test. Or go to a dr and get a blood test done.

Did I wait too long that it drastically ruined my chances of not being pregnant?
