Try business of being born. Same kind of movie but gentler. Try taking a natural birth class and know your rights when it comes to interventions.
Im going to do it natural just wanted to know more about it
Oh goodness ladies I would reconsider the walking epidural... Its been banned from my hospital. One of the biggest reasons is you have a huge risk of falling...
Yes it is lower i think here back in 2006 was up 30% for c section i think that great they encurage women to try and do it them self and ha ya im a.little stubern so il tell them to back away from me with the meds :)
I was surprised to see in 'one born every minute USA' (I'm in the UK) a patient give in and ask for an epidural and the midwife reply "well yeah of course, you wouldnt let a dentist pull your teeth without pain relief" if you ask for it here you would be told "but you're doing so well, how about we wait 10mins and see then" they tend to discourage it here...and I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure our rates for c sections and forceps deliveries are a lot lower
I've only seen the business of being born, after I had my first baby, I did have her natural though. from what I remember of the movie I will more than most likely be doing it natural again. Good luck, my advice is to remain calm and focused and stubborn! My stubbornness is really how I had/stuck with a natural labor the first time.
Thats sounds good :) and the walking epidural you can walk around and the other one they make you lay down ?
I have watch it. Have to say I still plan on drugs and power to women that do it with out. I am lucky my doctors office offers more then natural or epidural. I am picking a what's called a walking epidural. I will beable to get up and move about. I know a few RNs that work in high risk L&D and said if I pick drugs it was the way to go. Also my doctor rate of women needing csections is less then 10% where currently the norm is over 30%. I have bern begging to be induced if late and my doctor pretty firm on letting her come on her own unless there are other issues.
Almost done seeing it and it scared me even more i dont think i trust hospitals any more with every thing they risk for less time on worke and more money i refuse for a doc to come neat me with drugs unless its 10000% needed :/
Yes a saw the begining and all the side of effects i was just im going to do it natural alot of women did it back then so could i im going to see that one to sounds good
I saw that and it scared me too! Im definatly going to do it all natural. I also watched a couple other movies like it like " The business of being born" which was pretty good. But yeah natural is the way to go.
