Medicine for colds while pregnant??

My doctor told me I could take only tylonal brand cold medicines. But when i went to buy it the pharmacist said I shouldn't take anything for a cold. I took it anyway cuz my doctor said it was fine but what do you guys think? Have you taken something for cold??

You can take robitussin dm. If you Google it, you should be able to find a list that is safe for pregnancy. When I bought the cough medicine I spoke to the pharmacy just to double check.

I took Tylenol for my head, throat and ears and a cold medicine the pharmacist said I could take as my midwife told me to ask a pharmacist if it got really bad. I also used vix and natural graval because I was so ill. I only took the cold med at night and only once because it got that bad. My mom also made homemade chicken noodle soup which helped a lot too.

My doctor told me I could take robotusin cold for children, it only has 1 ingredient in it and that's the only one I'm able to take, I got the fruit punch flavor so it doesn't taste as bad,  I have a really bad cough right now and a stuffy runny nose : / 26 weeks tomorrow, and this cold is not fun  : /
