Probably Nervous For Nothing But...

I am 23w0d and I was taking a bath and I was washing my breast and my nipples started leaking a dark yellow watery fluid. I know that it could be colostrum but with my first pregnancy my pre-milk was a thick white color which I knew was normal but the yellow really freaked me out and I am wondering if it is normal or possibly an infection. Also I breastfed my DD till she was 14months (her current age) maybe that has something to do with the color change?

Its normal, this is my third pregnancy,  with my first it was the white milky color with my second it was yellow also. I haven't experienced it yet with this one. As far as it happening more when you get out of the shower its because the warm water relaxes your milk glands making it easier to flow. After giving birth if you choose to breastfeed and find it difficult or your glands get swollen, take a warm shower and let the water run on your cheat for a few minutes or warm up a towel in the.microwave for just a few seconds and put it on your breast and that'll help. So does massaging the nipples and breast.

Glad to know it's normal I got nervous thinking it was something bad because I expected it to be white like w/my first pregnancy. Was also scared because I have Hypothyroidism so I thought that was messing w/my milk.
