I was induced and it ended in a csection...never will happen again and it is more painful from what I have been told.
I would do it only if medically indicated or if you get to 42 weeks. I was induced this last time - did 7 hours of labor on pitocin - it was the worst and then ended up with a c-section due to not dilating enough and the baby having pooped in the womb. Mechonium happens more frequently with inductions - pitocin makes for harder contractions - harder on you and on baby.
I would not recommend it.
Most drs recommend induction for medical reasons only.
I was just reading up on induction. Please check out this article (not a super long one). It is from a reputable source and has lots of info. I think it might really help you decide!

I was induced with my first...not because I didn't go into labor on my own but because my water broke and I wasn't dialating enough so they gave me pitocin to induce....once the contractions started it was painful but I got a epidural so the pain was long gone after that...if you plan on getting a epidural its not a bad thing to get induced bit if you plan on going all natural then be prepared for the intense contractions
It is extra painful. I was induced with my first one and I'm hoping not to be with this one.
