The loudnesst, as Miss said, will depend totally on factors that have nothing to do with the baby's health, such as whether the baby is sitting in such a way that the doppler can't pick up the sound as clearly, or even if the batteries need to be changed in the doppler (if it is handheld). The fact that the baby has a normal heart rate is the main thing. Phone the doctor's office if you are worried, but a heart rate of 140 is fine.
A heart rate of 140 is very normal and not low at all. Normal range is 120-160.
The heart rate was 140...opps forgot
yes I'm sure there are many factors that can make it harder to hear. Maybe your baby bump has gotten a bit thicker, or maybe the baby was sitting in a weird position, making it hard to hear this time. If your doctor was worried, I'm sure you would have been sent for an immidiate ultrasound. You don't mention what the heart rate was at this app.
sorry that was meant to say small not smill
the heartbeat was heard though? i'm sure the doctor would have said if he thought there was a problem. my doctor would personally never listen to babys hb before 16 weeks as the baby is still so smill at that point it can be hard to locate the heart beat sometimes and cause panic, as is the case with you now. it is probably as simple as that, why not make an appt though to ask and ease your panic?
