Question!

So my son is due August 5th were planning on keeping him in the room with us till he's about 6 months. He will be sleeping in the pack n play when just s thin fitted sheet over the mat.. Since our house gets soooo hot we keep the ac on, I know he shouldn't sleep with anything in there with him but I'm scared of leaving him in just a onesie ?

Any second time moms that have delt with summer babies? What would be the best way to go about it? I don't want him too hot nor too cold?

My friends doctor told her if your hot the baby is hot if you're cold the baby is cold.. But at that time her daughter was around 5 or 6 months so I'm not sureif it's different with new borns?

I live in long beach, I don't know if I'd be able to move states cause of the weather I have family in Texas and  Arizona and Chicago and there I know is horrible weather... yeah he should be fine just make sure his blanket is belly down so his arms dint move it to his face, but he should be okay (:

Melanie, aw what part of California? I was born n raised in Southern California, redondo beach. Now live in ohio with my bf and the weather is sooo different here I'm not a fan. Yeah I think I'm just gonna switch sides on the bed with my bf I'm facing directly in front on the ac and I want him next to me so it'd be best to switch sides!

This is my second baby and i had my son in march right before summer me and my bf had him in ac cause I live in California and summers are hot... he was fine but I did put him a lil blanket in his crib cause babies are use of being warm from being in a sack for 9 months.. i just would check on him and I put the crib  right next to my side of the bed

Yeah I heard the sleep sacks are good too. Yeah I think I'm just gonna set it no lower than 70 plus we don't keep it on all night so maybe just set a timer for it. I swear everything worries me now I hate it lol

I understand I am due in August as well. I personally am going to use the swaddle me things. But it is just what works best for you. If you feel that it is too hot or cold you can always change the temp to where you think is comfortable.

Ehendricks, someone mentioned that to me. We usually keep the ac on at 61 or 62, so I was thinking of maybe keeping it on at 70? I'm just scarring myself by reading all this crazy stuff about the baby over heating, or even dying ugh scares me! Our upstairs just gets so hot now I can only imagine in August!

I had my daughter in June and I just kept her swaddled at nights. I would suggest the swaddle me things that you can get from the store. I loved them at night because I knew that she would be okay with those instead of a heavy blanket.
