Tongue piercing

I've had my tongue pierced for over a year now and I've had no problem with it EVER until now. Could it be because I'm pregnant?

Your tongue and gums will swell pluss you have a weakened immune system, and I beleive allot of saliva. That why you need to take good care of your teeth. At risk of gum disease and teeth decay.

I have mine don't also. 28 weeks now and no problem. And for the swallowing the ball. If it's plastic it shouldn't hurt. I'm after accidently swallowing a few

I read on other forums that it's normal for your tongue to swell a little due to increased blood volume. It's just irritated and uncomfortable.

I had my tongue pierced but my doctor advised me to take it out because it would of been dangerous for me to swallow the ball :-/ I miss it

Mines is pierced also and I have no problem with it. Not sure why you having problems.
