Question for already mamas

Any of you ladies have episiotomy?  How long did it take you to recover? I had my princess 11 days ago and still very painful.

Mine is pretty bad too. I was silly enough to grab a mirror and look whats its looks like. Nearly fainted :( it looks horrible. Im too scared to even go to toilet in case my stiches come apart. I dont think I will be falling pregnant anytime soon!

You guys are lucky to have gotten an episiotomy. My doctor let me rip, which is worse. I had to have a lot of stitches and every period for the first two days the scar tissue hurts so bad I can barely walk.

Sorry read that wrong....thought you said epidural. I had a second degree episiotomy with my first and it took a long time to heal....the spitz bath helped a lot and the numbing spray. ...sit on soft surfaces and try to take it easy. ..it will heal over time.

With my first I was fine the next day. But with my second I was in pain for a few weeks. They had problems putting it in and it didn't take, half my body was numb the other was not. The area they put it in was bruised.  Talk to your dr he may have tips to ease the pain and help it heal faster.
