It's better to teach them both as young as possible. We grew up speaking German and English. I never had to get a crash course on English when I started school. It makes it much easier for the child.
My son is 3 and speaks Spanish and English.
My daughter is almost 5 and only speaks spanish, she's about to start school so she'll learn english there and we'll be doingt the same with our son :)
English will be our sons primary language however my boyfriend is going to teach him Samoan and my best friend is going to teach him Spanish.
My son is 2.5 and he speaks only spanish. He watches english and spanish movies and cartoons but we speak only spanish too him but english to each other. He has learned several english words like hi and bye shoes and socks lol. He is really cute but having a hard time with sentences and I think woth both languages around it takes longer for them to talk but worth it in the long run. He will learn english in school within a few weeks so I want him to speak spanish now.
