Really bad swollen legs. Help

Is it normal for your legs and feet to swell up really bad and turn very very Red and burn?  I get it more when I stand up or walk around.. Even if its for just a min. They automatically get red and swell up.  I told the dr last time he said it was normal but it just feels very weird and even if I lift my legs they are still red and swollen. Not as bad but still. By the way I am 38 weeks.

The last time they checked her she was 5lbs 13 oz at 35 weeks. But I have gestational disbeties and my husband is big and was a big baby and I am very small only 4"11. I have been stuck at 2cm dialated and it seems that she is stuck up high because she has gotten to big for my hips. So when I went go the dr yesterday they said they didn't want her to get any bigger I am getting induced at 39 weeks hopefully I can have her vaginaly but have high chance of having to get ac section. I'm just glad my dr is giving me the chance to have her vaginsaly but I will have to get an epidural because if they have to do an emergency c section they don't have to put me out completely

There should be an after office hours number you can call to reach a Dr on call to get advice. Or just call L&D and see what a nurse or Dr there will say.

Not sure about the red and burning part, but the swelling is defintely normal. I had what I called "elephant feet" for the whole last week of my previous pregnancies but it was gone by the time I got out of the hospital.

Id double check with the Dr though about the redness and burning though.
